Hi, I'm Liz.
I hail from Northern Virginia, where I completed 3 years of film photography classes, then another 4 years at art school in Denver, Colorado where I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in 2012. I then gained the bulk of my freelance experience in San Antonio, Texas. I have had over 200 images published in articles spanning 5 magazines and provided documentary videography for around 100 weddings . My USAF photojournalist husband and I started our family in Anchorage, Alaska, and continued our journey to the United Kingdom where I continued my freelance career photographing families and businesses alike. Returning to the States in 2025, I'm settled in Charlotte, North Carolina which I am proud to call home with my supportive husband and 2 very photographic children.
For Families:
Before our session we'll have a phone chat to get a feel for how to best show your family's personality through imagery. You may and feel your best wearing fun colors and want a setting that's fun and bright. You may want neutral tones and a more serious romantic feel. We'll take all this into consideration to choose our time and place, and make a checklist for which images take priority for you.
Family shoots are chaotic! Kids are going to be kids. I'll shoot away and get some great shots, leave it to me. I'll tell you exactly what to do and how to pose. We'll be patient and use all the tricks in the book for the little ones. We can take breaks as needed to keep everyone going, whether that's snack breaks or diaper changes.
I am trained in lighting on location and aim to bring out the best of your features and highlight a beautiful location in the prime of whichever season we’re shooting in. I’m always prepared with a variety of gear to support us if we are met with any lighting, location, or weather challenges.
